The Worcester Children's Chorus Parent Association (WCCPA)

Mary Beth Miotto and Caroline Gagnon, Co-Presidents

As a non-profit organization, the Worcester Children's Chorus depends upon the many parents, grandparents, step-parents, and siblings who volunteer their time and energy in support of the chorus.  Volunteers provide a tremendous array of services and activities each year.  From providing administrative assistance at rehearsals to organizing the receptions following our home concerts; from used uniform sales to performance photography; from ticket sales to connecting carpool groups; the members of the WCC Parent Association (WCCPA) are a vital part of the WCC.

The WCCPA also provides a variety of social gatherings, extracurricular activities and resources for singers and families, which are designed to build strong relationships within the WCC community.  Such opportunities include a mentoring program for families new to WCC, promotion of the organization through singer fundraisers, and social events such as pizza parties and parent coffees. The Parent Association also acts as to facilitate communication between chorus staff, the Board of Directors, and parents.

We feel that a strong and vital children’s chorus requires active participation by all chorister families and our Parents Association is working to provide opportunities to support the chorus in various ways. Every parent of an enrolled WCC member is automatically enrolled in the WCCPA and will receive updates on our activities and volunteer needs.  If you would like more information on ways to help the WCC and the WCCPA, please contact Mary Beth Miotto or Caroline Gagnon, WCCPA co-presidents, at wccparents@gmail.com.
